Hilda UMC Youth Conduct Worship Service
Wednesday, December 3, 2008 • Posted December 3, 2008

Every fifth Sunday, the Hilda United Methodist Church youth conduct our worship service. During this past Sunday, they presented the program “Hanging of the Greens” to begin the season of Advent. The youth do everything including the music. We have several talented musicians who play musical instruments and we are very proud of our Children’s Bell Choir. The Advent Service included readings of the traditions of the poinsettias and evergreens. The youth decorated the sanctuary Christmas tree with Chrismons, hung evergreens on the altar railing, and placed poinsettias throughout the sanctuary. The community is invited to visit the “little church in the wildwood” anytime, and especially on the fifth Sundays of the months to see our youth as they give us the gift of showing their love for our Lord and Savior.
