Souvenirs

Dear Gerry,

I hope the people who read your article will pass the word to others - WATCH YOUR PROPERTY!

Just the other day someone stopped, and when I asked them what they were doing, they replied that they were waiting to pick up some hay that I had just fed to the cattle so they could put in in their garden. I have also had people take my antique wagon wheel I was to weld on to a bench.

I get really furious when someone tells me that I have plenty and I'll never miss it or use it. My uncle had to tell people to quit cutting down his mesquite and liveoak trees as they were taking everything.

The list is endless of what people will take from you or your land. I often wonder if they even stop to think we are also trying to make a living and someday we may have to sell the wood, rocks, metal or anything else we have to pay our bills?
