Annual EMS Fundraiser Seeks Your Support
Wednesday, December 10, 2008 • Posted December 10, 2008

We invite you to support “Operation Christmas Greeting”, the annual fundraiser for the Mason County EMS. Here’s how it works! A donation is made to the “Greeting” fund and your name is listed on a full page Greeting Card that appears in this paper’s Christmas edition on December 24th. Friday, December 19th, is the deadline this year to make your donation.

To donate to one of the “Greeting” accounts that are set up at each of our three Mason banks, please, fill out a coupon like the one below or pick one up at the bank. Fill in your listing(s) exactly as you wish it to appear on the “Greeting” and make your check payable to “Operation Christmas Greeting”. Deposit it with the coupon attached, at one of the banks. You may, also, mail your donation. Address your envelope to: “Operation Christmas Greeting”, the name of the bank (First State Bank, Mason National Bank or The Commercial Bank) Mason, TX 76856.

Every penny raised each year is designated for the betterment of equipment needs. This year the stair chairs (they move on “tracks” as a patient is transferred down stairs or down inclines) are at the top of the list. They, like all of the equipment, come with large price tags that our tax dollars cannot be used for; thus, fundraisers are needed. Mason is so blessed to have the EMS employees and/or volunteers who come to our aid when that accident or emergency does occur. However, we do our county a big service in helping them to be the best equipped to assist in saving lives.

We continue to ask for your support for this most worthy association. We hope your name is on the Texas-size greeting card. “Thank You”!

NOTE: A photo of prior purchases from the fundraiser is still planned, but was unavailable for this week's paper.
