Mason FFA Competes at Area Competitions

Fourteen Mason FFA Chapter members recently competed at the Area VII Leadership Development Events on November 19, 2008. The contest was held at Blanco High School in Blanco, Texas. Mason had qualified three teams to Area contest by placing first or second at the Hill District competitions.

Leadership Development Events are designed to teach FFA members the importance of teamwork, leadership, public speaking, and life skills development. Each student competing is to be commended for their dedication and effort to the success of this year’s teams. The results are as follows:

Agriculture Issues – Fourth Place

Jr Creed Speaking – Fourth place

Jr. Chapter Conducting – Ninth Place

Ag Issues

Tabitha Zant, Kambrey Hudson, and Virginia Lemke placed 4th in Agricultural Issues at the Area VII FFA Leadership Development Events in Blanco on November 19. 2008. Their issue discussed the possible introduction of the cactus moth to Texas.

Chapter Conducting

The Mason FFA Junior Chapter Conducting Team placed 9th the Area VII FFA Leadership Development Events in Blanco on November 19. 2008. Creed Speaking

Mason FFA Chapter member, Jacob Bibb, placed 4th in the Junior Creed Speaking at the Area VII FFA Leadership Development Events in Blanco on November 19. 2008.
