Today it really doesn’t feel like Christmas. It’s more like March with a tad of July, but I’m told that it will soon be Christmas weather again. This hot and cold breeds sickness and that’s what we don’t want or need anytime, and not at Christmas!
To tell you the truth, sometimes I really believe that the weather personnel is way overpaid. I would like to hear them say, “I really don’t know what the high and low temperature will be. It’s summer time, so maybe it will be as hot as it was yesterday!” Or, “It’s 100% that we’ll either get rain or not!”
Too, everyone I ask, “Are you ready for Christmas?” Will answer, “NO!” So, I might as well not ask. I know that I won’t get everything done, but there’s always “Next Year!” That’s what the Aggies and Dallas Cowboys say, so why not me? And, may I add the “University of Texas,” to this list. However, I don’t know how we ever made it in Christmases past, without NFL playoffs and College Bowl games? They have become as much a part of Christmas as Santa Clause!
Let's just remember, or try and remember, what Christmas is about. There are 85% of us who tell the rest of the world what Christmas is all about. Maybe, the 85% of us should remind ourselves of this more often?
P.S. Life is way, too short to not eat CHOCOLATE!
