The Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library will host an all day Open House Monday, June 8, 2009, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Showcased will be many Junior Classic books purchased with a donation from the City of Mason. Refreshments will be served all day and a drawing will be held for 4 free tickets to Schlitterbahn Water Park. Students from Pre-K through High School are eligible to enter the drawing.

It is also the first day of registration for the 2009 Texas Summer Reading Program sponsored by the Texas State Library and the Mason County Library. When students sign up for the Summer Reading Program they will receive a prize furnished by the Pedernales Electric Cooperative. After filling in their reading logs they will receive a Reader’s Certificate and be eligible to enter a drawing for prizes.

The Summer Reading Program will be from June 8 through June 30 at the library located at 410 Post Hill, Mason, TX. For more information call 325-347-5446.
