Letter to the Editor:

Last week Mason ISD superintendent, Matt Underwood, reported that our school board had unanimously approved a Daycare Proposal to benefit Mason ISD staff. I appreciate Matt’s explanation; however, I think the public would like more information from him.

1. What is the proposed capital cost to establish such a facility?

2. Can the program be maintained and operated on an on-going basis without utilizing funds from the general operating fund?

3. Would Mr. Underwood provide the public with a copy of the proposed budget?

I appreciate your assistance in this matter.
