Flag Day, June 14th, commemorates the adoption of the Flag of the United States, on this day in 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14th as Flag Day. And, in August 1949, National Flag Day, June 14th, was established by Act of Congress.
So, on Saturday, June 14th, please fly the Stars & Stripes with pride, because it is a symbol recognized the world over as standing for freedom, justice and the American way of life. For God & Country!
