Mason County Habitat for Humanity was pleased to receive a donation of $1000 recently, a gift of employees of the Lower Colorado River Authority. The donation came from LCRA employees through the LCRA Employees’ United Charities program. LCRA employees who participate in United Charities voluntarily donate up to two hours’ pay monthly to support the program and then decide how the funds are spent. United Charities contributes more than $492,000 annually, supporting a variety of nonprofit organizations throughout LCRA’s service area.
“Employees throughout LCRA are committed to helping maintain and enrich the lives of others in the communities around us,” said Evelyn Herzog, LCRA community outreach coordinator. “We are happy to help Mason County Habitat for Humanity in the building of another Habitat house in Mason.”
Community support is such an important factor in the success of Mason County Habitat and to receive it from the larger community as well is outstanding and is greatly appreciated!
