The Mason County Livestock and Wildlife Protection Association had a drawing for a Savage 22-250 rifle with a custom camo scope. All members who had paid their dues by April 1st were eligible for the drawing.

Winning the rifle was Willeda Rea, from Art. Willeda has been a member of the association since 2003. She and her husband became full time residents of Mason in 2004, moving from San Marcos where they had resided for 35 years. Willeda has deep roots in Mason County through her maternal grandparents, Will Jordan and Ida Lehmberg Jordan. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church, Riata Service Organization, and The Fine Arts Association of the Hill Country. She spends much of her time involved with her hobby, photography.

There are over 200 paid members in the association. It is not too late to join and be eligible to receive bounties, but after April 1st, dues are 25 cents per acre with a $200 minimum. If interested in joining, contact one of the directors or Charles Loeffler, president.
