Designs by Deborah, located at 113 E. Main on the Brady Square, will continue to host Fiber Arts Fridays through the summer.

The come-and-go affair runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and features light refreshments. Browsers are more than welcome and crafters are invited to bring a project. There are several regulars, some of whom have been hooking rugs, knitting or doing crotchet for a number of years. And remember Rosie Greer with his needlepoint? That’s a hint, fellows - this isn’t just for ladies.

One woman recently brought her granddaughter. It was the young lady’s first time to hook a rug and she made marvelous progress. Seeing the next generation take up the craft engenders hope for the survival of the time consuming art form.

Whether you’re coming to town anyway or find yourself here on a whim, we hope you’ll stop by.

If you happen to think of it, you might give Deborah a call at (325) 597-2277, so she’ll have an idea how many to expect.
