Sometime in August, the Mason Square Museum anticipates the 10,000th visitor will sign the quest book. Amazing, given the museum has only been open since April of 2007!

On opening day, April 7th, 400 folks viewed, what is arguably, the best small town museum in Texas. A couple from Worthan, Texas, was honored as our 5000th visitor on April 12, 2008.

Who knows which subject area may interest our visitor the most? With presentation panels which include text, photos and artifacts on geology, prehistoric times, German Immigration, Fort Mason, Indian captives, the Hoo Doo War, early banking and the featured family panel, our visitor will learn even more upon receiving a complimentary copy of Margaret Bierschwale’s book, “History of Mason County”. Wow, what a long sentence, but the length merely reflects what new things you may learn about Mason and Mason County.

For a preview, visit us at masonsquaremuseum.org.  The Museum is open from 10 am to 4 pm, Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
