Texas Tech Alumni Recognize Scholarship Winners at Family Picnic July 12

The Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Tech Alumni Association is hosting the annual Student Send-Off & Scholarship Awards Family Picnic on Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Runnymeade Country Inn at 6:00 p.m. Anyone who ever attended Texas Tech is invited to attend.

Scholarship recipients for 2009 from the Hill Country attending Tech will be recognized as well as local students attending TTU at Fredericksburg. The chapter has provided $15,000 in scholarships for local students.

A representative from the Hill Country University Center will give an update on campus construction and scheduled ground-breaking for the new building.

The chapter will provide hamburgers, alumni are asked to bring side dishes and/or desserts and lawn chairs.

Runnymeade Country Inn is off of Boos Lane at 184 Fullbrook Lane, Fredericksburg. Turn off of Highway 16 south at the Cotton Gin B&B complex.

Anyone who attended Texas Tech University is an alumnus. Come and hear what’s happening with Texas Tech in the Hill Country.
