Nancy Hatch Miller was the personification of enthusiasm, laughter and love. She thought and talked in superlatives. She worked and played with gusto. She love whole-heartedly and without reservation.

All of us who were cheered up and, counseled and advised, entertained and encouraged, praised and complemented and applauded by her are missing a huge positive force in our lives. Those of us who learned to dance from her. Danced with her, or simply watched her dance are missing a huge amount of fun. Those of us who laughed with her more than is probably legal are missing that pure joy.

Nancy would say we need to dance, and laugh, and support each other. Our challenge now is to be as good as Nancy thought we are.
