To The Good Mason Samaritan
I was privileged to be a judge for the Mason County Round-Up Parade. I was surprised and pleased with the participation in a wonderful parade. The Chamber of Commerce gave each of the 6 judges a voucher for a Tee-shirt and a meal to any restaurant in Mason. I certainly didn't expect these "perks". It was a pleasant surprise. While I was either judging or watching the parade, someone backed into my vehicle and did considerable damage. I didn't discover this damage until days later. The same day I became aware of this accident, I didn't have a clue to the person responsible. I would have to pay the deductible myself. Fortunately a "Good Samaritan" witnessed the accident, took my license number, and reported it to the Sheriff's Office. A deputy called me and confirmed the information and filled out an accident report. I am grateful for the person who stepped forward and reported this incident. I feel certain the person responsible didn't realize the damage incurred. How great to live in "small town" America with people with "big values".
Thank you from a grateful McCulloch County Resident
Ms. Jill Kilgore
