The Texas Education Agency named Mason ISD as a Texas 21st Century Community Learning Center Cycle 6 Grant recipient.
The purpose of the 21st CCLC program is to provide extended learning opportunities for grades K-12 outside of the regular school day in the core subjects of math, reading, science, and social studies. The 21st CCLC program aligns with the overarching goal of TEA that all students will graduate prepared for postsecondary education and/or the workforce. To accomplish this goal the program will strive to improve academics, attendance, behavior, promotion rates, and graduation rates.
The 21st CCLC grant is a five-year program with Mason ISD receiving $192,000 in year one.
