Texas law requires all children younger than eight years to be in the appropriate carseat or booster seat. The law went into effect on September 1, 2009. Children are exempt if they are at least four feet, nine inches tall.

The Mason EMS will be holding a booster seat checkup event on September 19, 2009, at the Mason National Bank from noon until 2:00 p.m. The EMS will be giving out a limited number of booster seats so that our Mason children can comply with the new Texas law.
