Allen tied for the Second Place Championship at the Octoberfeast Chess tournament, held in San Antonio on Oct. 24th & 25th. Allen played in the Reserve Section and was one of the few players who went undefeated, winning two games and tied two games. One of Allen's tie games was with the first place Champion from San Antonio.
