To the voters of Precinct 4 of Mason County:
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your County Commissioner for the last seven years. I have always tried to make sound fiscal decisions that have kept your taxes as low as possible while still providing essential services. I know not everyone agrees with each and every decision I have made, but I have tried to provide what is best for my constituency as a whole.
For those who are new to the county, I am a fifth generation Mason County native. I have a resided in Precinct 4 for most of my life. I retired from teaching in 2001 after a 33 year career as an educator in public schools, the last 30 years in Mason ISD. I am active in my church and in various civic organizations.
As your Commissioner I have tried to become familiar with State Statutes and issues in order to make rational and just decisions. I research issues and am not afraid to ask questions when I need more information. I feel we have made strides in providing law enforcement, road and bridge, and emergency medical services with the equipment they need to carry out their jobs.
I would like to be the voice of the citizens of Precinct 4 for another term. I will file in December as a Republican for reelection. I ask for your vote and support in the 2010 primary and general elections.
Eldon Kothmann
