Charles Lee Williams of Fredonia passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009, in Fredonia at his home.

Charles Lee was born on December 30, 1926, to John Harrison and Zelma Kuykendall Williams in Brady, Texas. A lifetime resident of McCulloch and Mason counties, Charles Lee was a farmer, rancher and a member of the Mason First Baptist Church. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren, farming, ranching, walking his dog and stock shows.

Survivors include two sons, John C. Williams and wife Zulma of Fredonia and James K. Williams and wife Barbie of Fredonia; two daughters, Sue Ann Stafford and husband John of Fredonia and Rita Jocelyn Williams, also of Fredonia; one brother, John E. Williams of Mason; eight grandchildren, John Cody Williams, Calvin Lee Williams, Charles Alexander Williams, Alan Layne Stafford, Leesa Lyn Holden, Lesley Stafford, Sarah Renee Williams and Madelyn Gracie Williams; three great grandchildren, Leilani Stafford, Braden Stafford and Keith Holden; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charles Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Joyce Williams, his parents, one son, Edd Layne Williams and one brother, Cecil Williams.

Pallbearers will be Cody Williams, Calvin Williams, Alex Williams, Lesley Stafford, Blake Holden, and Robert Williams. An honorary pallbearer will be Layne Stafford, who is currently serving in Afghanistan.
