Hero status isn’t reserved only for those brave men and women who serve our country on the front lines of war. There is a hero in all of us. Ordinary people are saving lives every day. They do it while they are on their lunch break or while they are running errands. They have found the hero in themselves by donating blood. Find the hero in you by making an appointment to donate today.

Donors will get a t-shirt. In addition, you will earn Hero Rewards points. Every time you schedule an appointment, keep the appointment and donate blood, you get points. Those points will accumulate and you can redeem them online for items like movie tickets, dvds and ice cream. Every time you donate, you will receive a free cholesterol test. The test is available online about seven days after your donation.
To donate, you must be 16 years old and weigh 110 pounds. 16 year old donors will need a parent/guardian to sign a minor donor permit form. That form can be downloaded online at www.unitedbloodservices.org. 16-22 year olds may be subject to additional height and weight requirements.
