The Mason County Historical Commission would like to thank BOTH the American Legion and the Mason VFW for their contribution of $1000.00 presented to the Commission last week. The American Legion’s name was left out in last week’s paper and we want to be sure that they are thanked also.

We so appreciate both these organizations and their donation to help with the veterans’ memorials on the courthouse lawn. Jane Hoerster is now taking names for a new monument of Mason County veterans whose names are not on any of the current monuments.
