High on the agenda for the new Riata cookbook, Reflections in Time . . . Celebrating 60 Years, is the selection of Mason County photographs to be used. May we whet your appetite, not only with great recipes, but also with beautiful scenes from Mason County.

Many of these cookbooks go beyond Mason; many are sold as souvenirs from Texas and the Hill Country. The Riata cookbook is more than a cookbook . . . it is a photo album of delectible and interesting sites and a spicy ingredient of historical and unusual, even sometimes funny, notes and anecdotes. Even if one does not cook a lot, the new book will be an appetizer, preparing the reader for a unique and tasteful presentation of what Mason County is all about.

Favorite and new recipes are presently being chosen, typed, proofread, and retyped, for submitting to the publisher. Many Riata members are busy each day doing these tasks, which, will no doubt, be eventually pulled from the oven, be frosted, and be set in front of each place setting, hoping that each one who buys one will walk away from the table feeling totally satisfied!
