Ruth Capps Ney passed away at the age of 94 on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 11:48 a.m.

She was born at home in Fredonia, Texas, lived on a ranch and attended a one room school house nearby.

She met Linus, her husband, on a blind date in Brady during WWII. Three months later they were married. They lived many years in Indianapolis, Indiana, but moved back to Ruth's childhood home in the mid 1980's.

She was a member of the Fredonia and Brady Methodist Churches.

For many years she was very active in Al-Anon preaching to her children "Let go and let God" and until her dearth she actively practiced the principles of Al-Anon.

She is survived by her children and spouses, Maggie and Phil Gasior, Paul and Laurie Ney, Chuck and Michelle Ney, Sue and Bob Varvil, Rick Ney and Rob Ney. She has 7 grandchildren and 14 great grand children.

She touched the lives of everyone she knew.
