Ferd Slocum, of Mason, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010, at the age of 53.

Ferd is survived by his wife, Lori Slocum, of Mason, son Ferd Taylor Slocum III of Mason, daughters Lena Walker and husband Jeff of Stephenville, Cassey Slocum and Cristi Slocum, both of Mason, his mother Margaret Smith and husband Dick of Ft. Worth, sister Marci Pearson and husband Lee Roy of Eastland, mother-in-law Marian Leifeste of Art, and sister-in-law Joan Kettner and husband Fred of Mason.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Art United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Art West Cemetery.
