Ryne Kahan, a 2004 graduate of Mason High School, graduated from Christian University on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Ryne graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 grade point average from the Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Studies with a major emphasis in political science and history.

While at TCU he was inducted into Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society in History, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the National Dean's List, and The National Scholars Honor Society.

Ryne was on the Dean's List and was designated a TCU Scholar. He was also a member of the TCU Ambassadors, served on the board of the Wesley Foundation and participated in their after school tutoring program, worked with Habitat for Humanity, the TCU Programming Council and Frog Fanatics Basketball Boosters, and was a School of Education Senior Mentor.

Ryne received a Graduate Teaching Assistantship and will complete the requirements for the Master's in

Education Degree in July. At this point, he will be employed by Clear Creek ISD, the district that serves the NASA Johnson Space Center area, teaching Advanced Placement U.S. Government at Clear Creek High School.
