Hill Country Memorial has approved staff privileges for Carrie A. Culpepper, FNP-C.Mrs. Culpepper recently joined Katherine W. Pearson, D.O., at Hill Country Primary Care Physicians, 205 W. Windcrest, Suite 130, in Fredericksburg. They also have offices at 1331 Bandera Hwy., Suite 3, in Kerrville.As a family nurse practitioner, she may assess a patient’s health status, provide disease prevention and health promotion services, diagnose and treat common acute health problems, and, in Texas, write prescriptions.Mrs. Culpepper received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. She earned her master of science from Texas Woman’s University at Houston in 2005. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.Both she and Dr. Pearson provide adult and adolescent care for women and men, management of chronic diseases, diabetes care, geriatrics, nursing home care, mental health services and musculoskeletal pain management. Additionally, Dr. Pearson provides osteopathic manipulative treatment.They are accepting new Medicare and Medicaid patients.
