The importance of making a will and safeguarding one’s final wishes will be presented at an annual wills clinic Thursday, Nov. 13, offered by the Hill Country Memorial Hospital Foundation. There will be two identical sessions, one at 9:30 a.m. and another at 1:30 p.m.

The HCMH Foundation offers this public service clinic to the community free of charge, and each session will be about two hours long at the Central Texas Electric Co-op meeting room, 386 Friendship Lane in Fredericksburg.

“One of the issues many people deal with in our area is willing their appreciated land to descendants,” HCMHF Executive Director Sandy Goff said. “Creating your will is not something to delay, and the clinic shows people the importance of getting started sooner rather than later.”

Volunteer presenters will be Fredericksburg attorneys Robert W. Goff, Jr., Richard Hoerster and Jay Weinheimer. They will discuss topics ranging from why you need a will, basic planning strategies, Medicare regulations, tax planning and advance directive strategies.

Reservations are being taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call the foundation office at 830-997-1297 to reserve a seat.
