Although I never had any archery equipment until I was 19, over the past 35 years I’ve become pretty much excellent at shooting a bow. I can shoot in just about any position, any weather, and at any distance from my target. I’d say I’m one of the best there is at shooting a bow. What I’m not the best at is hitting what I shoot at with a bow.

The “Camp MeMaw” 2015 session is now closed. And this house is really quiet! It’s always fun for me to have my grandsons and I hope that they enjoyed it as much as I did. I only had to keep repeating to one to “TIE YOUR SHOES!” I usually don’t go into town but once a week, but with the boys here, it was every day.

Kudos to the Library Board members for their hard work on the library float. The float was awarded a red ribbon, Kate Gillespie was beautiful, and Lenore, the dogs, and the kiddos were all fantastic! Many thanks to you all! Also, they did it! Patrons finished the jigsaw—not just by Friday—but in only two days!

Another lazy summer week has gone in the books. When visiting with those in our community, most mentioned it was hot and they spent time watering their yard. Throw in some medical appointments and we were more busy than lazy. We were so happy to see Tad Leifeste in church Sunday.

We have had a wonderful last couple of weeks. Although the bats are not coming out until after 8:30 P.M. the emergence is breathtaking. We have had low visitation but the people that have shown up are thrilled with the bats’ performance. ( See the attached photo of a delightful group of Highland Lakes Master Naturalists who visited).

If you are feeling STRESSED OUT and FATIGUED, then you may need a supplement that supports the adrenal glands. It is certainly summer weather in the Hill Country. If you have tried to work outside in the past couple of weeks as I have been doing then you know just how hot it can be and how much sweat it takes to get anything done. One caution is to be careful that you do not overheat if you are outside, I try not to work more than a couple of hours in the sun on any one day and while it makes for less progress on my project I am trying not to overdo it and have greater problems.
