Kambrey Hudson, pictured above with Reuben Geistweidt, SWCD Board Chairman, presented her award-winning speech on the SWCD theme, “Dig It-The Secrets of Soil” to the Board on Thursday. She was awarded a $500 scholarship from the Assn. of TX SWCDs. Kambrey will compete at the State FFA Association Convention in Dallas on July 7. The contest is conducted through Texas FFA and in partnership with the Soil & Water Conservation Districts.
