William Wayne Koock received an award at Thursday’s Soil & Water Conservation District meeting for the 2009 Outstanding Conservation Rancher in Mason County. This award represents his continuing efforts to be a good steward of the land by demonstrating proper grazing use and nutrient and pest management on bermuda grass. Mr. Koock has also entered into an EQIP (Environmental Quality Incentives Program) contract to control brush.
