On Veterans Day, November 11, 2009, Lawn Elementary School in the Jim Ned I.S.D. held a special celebration honoring the parents, grandparents and families of its students that were veterans. One of those students, Halle Jordan Cooley, invited her grandfather, Bill Brollier, to be part of the celebration. There was even a patriotically decorated Christmas tree serving as a backdrop for the photo of Mrs. Turner , Halle Cooley and Bill Brollier.
