Mason County resident, Mary Shearer Eckert, has proudly announced the publication of her book, "Where Was God When I Cried?" The book relates the life story of Pastor Peaches Evans, growing up at a time of racial bigotry, in conditions of abject poverty. Mrs. Eckert held a book signing last weekend in Fredricksburg where she was joined by Pastor Evans. She also had a book signing in Mason at Market Square. The book is available locally at Market Square.
