Mason Head Start has another successful year! A big "Thank You" to Mrs. Lisa and Mrs. America fr being such great teachers! Pictured above are the 2008 grauates of the Head Start class. Left to right: Isaiah Gonzales, Jose Valdez, Marrisa Hernandez, Karen Galaviz, Tanya Terry, Kaeli Hoten, Gagriel Oriz, Kameron Torrez, and Xavior Martinez. Other class members to complete another year are Sherlyn Galaviz, Isis Martinez, Brennan Watson, Blake Lewis, Kaleab Fisher, Tara Boelly, Abigail Hooten. A B-B-Q Graduation dinner was held for the kids on May 22nd. The kids were givin graduation certificates and bags, that were put together by the staff, that were stuffed with pictures, book marks, and journals that the kids dept up with all year. Awards were given to the volunteers. Top volunteers were Mrs. Carol, Sylvia Galaviz, Rebecca Foster. Joe Angel and Christina Gonzales were givin a special volunteer award. Christina was part of the Education Advisory Committee and went to every meeting held in Killeen. Joe Angel was part of the Area Committee and attended every meeting held in San Saba.
