Ernesto Gonzales Jr., born on July 12, 1966, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2012, at the age of 45. Ernesto was born and raised in Mason TX, graduated Mason High School, later attending TSTI in Waco TX, later graduating from St. Phillips College San Antonio TX as a Surgical Technician.

Floyd Ralph Johnson of Mason was born on June 25, 1935, and went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2011 at the age of 76.He is survived by his twin brother, Royce C. Johnson and wife Carolyn of Dallas; sister, Dorothy Tatsch of Mason; and, sister-in-law, Eulene Johnson of Mason.As a young boy, Floyd was always a hard worker.
George Eldon Cotton, age 77 of Smithville Arkansas died Friday, December 30, 2011, at his home. He was born September 25, 1934 at Alex, Oklahoma to C.J. and Vina Weston Cotton. He worked in the oil fields of New Mexico until he became a pastor in 1971. He pastored three churches in Texas and then retired due to health reasons and moved to Smithville in 1980 where he worked at the Democrat Gazette as a bundle hauler for 12 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Roxie Qualls ...
Jeanette Earlene Hegar, 68, recently of Cheraw, Colorado, and formerly of Mason, Texas, died suddenly due to stroke on December 13, 2011, in Pueblo, Colorado.She was born September 19, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to her parents, Jess E. and Rose Marie Schultz Ward.She worked several years at Super S Foods in Mason as a bookkeeper.She is survived by two children: Louis E.

C. W. Capps, of Pontotoc, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, at the age of 76. He was born on August 5, 1935, in Brady, Texas, to C.W. Capps Sr. and Ella Baxter Capps. He was raised in Mason County and was a 1952 graduate of Mason High School. On July 31, 1954, C.W.
Viola Pearl Balzen went to be with her Lord and Savior on Christmas morning.  She was born on April 22, 1906, to James and Martha Brandenberger.  She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred, and two brothers and two sisters.  She will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews and many close friends. Annie Agnes Bishop Durst of College Station passed away peacefully on December 15, 2011, with family at her side. She had been in declining health since shortly after her 100th birthday. Annie had lived in College Station since she married her sweetheart Nelson Durst in 1941. Annie was born to John William and Janie Snowden Bishop on September 21, 1911 on her grandfather’s farm north of Georgetown in the Berrys Creek Community.

Oleta Fae Harris Davis of Temple died September 28, 2011, at Arbor House in Temple.Services for Mrs.Davis were held at 10:00 on Saturday, October 1, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. Interment was at 4 PM in the Pipe Creek Cemetery in Pipe Creek, Texas, Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Davis was born on October 21, 1927, to Mary and Ernest Harris in Morgan Mill, Texas.
Don Ross (Dugan) Johnson passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Austin, Texas at the age of 79. He was born August 14, 1932 to Faye (Hart) and Willie Dow Johnson in Girard County Texas. Don served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Gail Gregory December 16, 1955 in San Marcos Texas.
Charles Elzie “Boogie” Morris, of Mason, passed away December 9, 2011. He was born to Elzie and Dovie (Hudson) Morris on September 21, 1935, in Mason County, Texas.Mr. Morris was a rancher and a true cowboy. He had a fondness with animals that only he and the animal could understand.
