After a long Christmas break the 8th Grade Boys got back on track this past week when they took on the visiting boys from Medina.Medina struggled throughout the game scoring only three points in the first half. The Puncher press took its toll with several good trap and steals by Garrett Bibb, Seth Hudson, Levi Hofmann, and Daniel Parker.Several 7th Grade players were added to the roster for this game, because Medina only had one boys team.

The Mason Punchers Basketball team has kept their defensive motto that they had throughout the entire State Championship run in football…. turnovers!!!! The Punchers faced a good Blanco team with a lot of height and proved that bigger isn’t always better. The shorter but quicker Mason team came out early in the first quarter with a lot of pressure defense and before the night was over would force 22 turnovers with 14 steals.
