Monday the 2nd, both Punchers and Cowgirls earned a spot to the Regional Golf Tournament in Brenham. The Regional Tournament will take place on April 16 and 17. The Punchers will tee off Monday morning at 8:00 followed by the Cowgirls at 1:00. On Tuesday morning, the Cowgirls will tee off at 8:00 followed by the Punchers at 1:00. Both Punchers and Cowgirls finished in second place at the district tournament in Comfort.

Center Point and Mason volleyed the lead five times on Saturday, but Center Point came out on top for a 5-4 win on Saturday at Center Point. Center Point finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. Bodie Adams had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.
The Mason Tennis Team took first place in the 44th Annual Mason Invitational Tennis Tournament here last weekend. After a third place finish last week in Fredericksburg, the Punchers and Cowgirls pulled together some strong performances in this week’s 26 team tournament. Leading the team were Matt Banner in boys singles and the girls doubles team of Traci Jordan and Margaret Lemke.

The Mason Tennis Association’s eleventh annual Tennis-A-Thon will take place this Sunday, March 25th, at the Mason Tennis Center. The funds raised will be used to improve and maintain our tennis center.The tennis playing youth of our community are taking part in this event by participating in tennis drills, games and competitions for 1 and 1/2 hours, and by obtaining sponsors who pledge money for each participant.

This past weekend, Mason Junior High Tennis competed in the Kerrville Middle School Team Tennis Tournament. Our team was comprised of 18 players from both 7th and 8th grade. The goal in team tennis is to be the first team to win 10 matches. Players compete in both doubles and singles.
