The Heart of Texas Country Music Association will celebrate its 21th Anniversary on Friday and Saturday, March 19th and 20th, and Friday and Saturday, March 26th and 27th at the Ed Davenport Civic Center in Brady. The festivities will include a Welcome Party and Dance on the Friday nights, an afternoon Matinee Concert at 1:00 PM on the Saturdays followed by the Dinner and Dance on Saturday night beginning at 7:00 PM. Only 2,400 tickets will be sold for the festivities.
Fredericksburg Tea Party will be hosting their annual Tea Party Rally on Thursday, April 15, 2010. The rally is a celebration of our republic and our U.S. Constitution. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Marktplatz, at the corner of Austin Street and Adams Street in Fredericksburg, Texas. The Fredericksburg Tea Party is pleased to facilitate a contest between all high school students attending 9th through 12th grades within a 60 mile radius of Fredericksburg.

Habitat for Humanity is happy to welcome back the Caravanners! They will be lunching here at the FUMC Social Hall from March 1st to the 20th Monday through Friday at Noon. If you or your group would like to help feed these hard working folks. Please call Carlene Brollier at 347-2085 or 347-5817.
Rev. Suzanne Brantley will continue with the Bible study, "I Want to See Jesus", on Wednesday evening, March 3. The study will continue on Wednesday evenings through March 24th. The study is based on John 12:20-21. In this passage some Greeks come and desire to know Jesus. In our study, we desire to know and love Him more and we are doing this by studying what Jesus said and what Jesus did. Everyone is invited to attend one, all, or as many of the studies as you are able.
Mason, Texas, celebrates Texas Topaz Day, recognizing our native topaz as the Texas State Gemstone on Saturday, March 27. Come to Gems of the Hill Country, on the historic Mason Square, to see gem faceting demonstrations, meet the folks that create the gems, and have refreshments. Visit the museum next door to see the largest topaz found in North America, as well as other exhibits. Try rockhounding with guides at the two ranches available for hunting topaz.
Board members of the Gooch Cemetery Assn. encourage the public to attend their annual meeting which will be held at the Mason National Bank on Tuesday, March 9 at 7 pm.
Pioneer Museum hosts "What’s It Worth?" event Anyone who hopes to find treasure in their trash is invited to the Gillespie County Historical Society’s "What’s It Worth?" event on Friday and Saturday, March 19 and 20, 2010, in Fredericksburg. The Pioneer Museum will have six independent appraisers on hand to appraise furniture, paintings, sculpture, art, prints, photographs, books, silver, glass, toys, guns, knives and western memorabilia.
Hill Country Cattle Women who represent 14 counties in the Texas Hill Country are meeting in Mason on March 16, at the River of Life Church, 217 E. College Street. We will begin with coffee and registration at 10A.M. and the meeting will start at 10:30A.M. There will be a program presented by Lance Rasch, Mason High School Agriculture Teacher and student, Virginia Lemke after which we will complete our planning for our 2010 Style Show and Luncheon to be held at the Inn of the Hills in Kerrvi ...
The Mason County Historical Society will be having a fundraiser on Friday, March 12 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the Courthouse Square. Join us for a delicious BarBQ lunch with all the trimmings for a suggested donation of just $8 a plate. Cakes and other desserts will also be available for purchase. Funds collected will be used for restoration efforts at Ft.
