A Lament for Linemen...
No, this isn’t about Super Bowl “grunt” players “duking it out” in the football trenches. I’m referencing Glen Campbell, who is crooning around the country on his well-earned “farewell tour” to cap off a career spanning 50+ years. The Alzheimer victim is singing our old favorites, including “Wichita Lineman,” one of lyricist Jimmy Webb’s best songs.
My “weather confusion condition” is getting a little better after last weeks’ rain and cooler days. It’s amazing what a little rain can do. Thank you Lord for answered prayers!Marion Leifeste and Nea Young will be celebrating their birthdays on Wed. Feb. 1st. Happy Birthday ladies! Our “For Unto Ya’ll” practice will be this Wednesday at 5:30pm and our Revelation Bible Study will start at 6pm.

Then I got a new computer and will soon have Y5 rabbit speed! No longer will I connect after ten minutes and have to wait fifty more minutes for my mail to come up.The toilet seat is now broken and has become a Democrat!

This is a neat new feature that the USDA came up with the help us get healthier. Supertracker is an online tool where you can get a personalized nutrition and activity plan. Track what you eat and your activities to see how they stack up, and get tips and support to help you make healthy choices.
If you’re not aware of the Mason County Garden Club, you may not realize what “go-getters” they are! Sheri Clarkson (President) and a dozen or so members came last week and spent the afternoon cleaning up our front flowerbeds. The Garden Club has officially adopted the library as a public service project.
The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, January 24th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 36 members and one visitor in attendance. Lion Kendal Hemphill was responsible for the program and introduced Scott O'Neal who spoke about living up to our potential.Scott gave a very inspirational talk and challenged us to set a good example by the things we do and say, both in the Lions Club, and also in our private life. The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, January 31st, ...
