The Golf Tournament has been canceled due to rain. It will be rescheduled at a later date. The Mason Puncher Club is holding its 13th Annual Golf Tournament Saturday, May 16th at the Mason Golf Course. The tournament will be a 4 person 18 hole scramble with 1 mulligan and bonus string.

Ted Smith, Mason County rancher, goat raiser, tax appraiser will speak to the Hill Country Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers at the 9:30 am August 3rd meeting to be held in Mason at the Willow Creek Cafe,106 Ft. McKavitt Street. The auxiliary will also approve the budget and work on the up and coming fashion show.

The ROOTS Music Series third set is July 25, featuring two great bands. This is the third of four outdoor, eclectic concerts scheduled for the Pioneer Museum in Fredericksburg, Texas. Concerts feature both emerging and established artists in an informal, family setting. Come early to tour the museum buildings, enjoy local food prepared by Fredericksburg Rotary Club, beer, and wine.

The Old Yeller Days celebration will be held Saturday, September 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Mason County Courthouse lawn. This annual event, sponsored by the Mason County M. The football camp this year will be July 27 - 29 (Monday - Wednesday). Those interested in participating in the camp will need to sign up in the high school gym during their registration times. MENARD – A hands-on rain barrel and water conservation workshop has been set from 9 a.m-noon Aug. 3 at the Murchison/Whitehead Memorial Youth Complex located just off U.S. Highway 190 West in Menard. Fredericksburg will celebrate the Hill Country community’s German heritage this Saturday, July 18, during Night In Old Fredericksburg (NIOF) at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds. The annual event is in its second year back at the fair grounds on Highway 16 South, where it is held in conjunction with two days of pari-mutuel horse races.

On July 27th, the Korean Armistice was signed. VFW post 8554 Mason Texas will hold a ceremony before our regular monthly meeting to remember this date. This will be on July 20th at 6:30 p.m. at the post on Post hill st. This is a conflict that is still on going.
