Join us on the square on Sunday, March 29th and bring your appetite! Our Annual Hamburger Picnic will be held on the west side of the square under the Odeon marquee on Palm Sunday from 11-1. In addition to delicious hamburgers hot off the grill, guests will get a bag of chips and an ice cold soda for just $7.

The Third Annual Darrell McCall and Friends Golf Tournament will be held at the Brady Municipal Golf Course on Friday, March 27, at 200 Brady Country Club Road. The event benefits the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum, a 501c3 non profit organization. The golf tournament will consist of a three man team, plus one Traditional Country Music celebrity per team.

Mason High School will present a public performance of this year's one act play, "The Death and Life of Larry Benson," on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. The public is invited to come and watch this year's play, and to help the cast and crew become accustomed to performing in front of an audience.

Join us Saturday, March 21st, at Ft. Mason Community Building for a delicious meal (donation only) catered by Willow Creek, followed by the annual Steady Steps cake auction and silent auction. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the meal will be served at 6:00 p.m. Those of you who ordered geraniums will be able to pick them up Friday, March 20th, from 4:00-6:00 or Saturday, March 21st, from 4:00-6:00.

The Mason Tennis Association’s 14th annual Tennis-A-Thon will take place on the afternoon of Sunday, March 22nd, at the Mason Tennis Center. This fundraiser helps improve our tennis center. The tennis playing youth of our community are taking part in this event by participating in tennis drills, games and competitions for 1 1/2 hours on March 22nd, and by obtaining sponsors who pledge a certain amount of money for each minute the participant’s team plays tennis.

The Mason Art Walk and Local merchants and artists are coming together to create a festival of the arts on April 11th to coincide with the wildflower bloom, a bike race in Castell called the Castell Grind and a concert at the Odeon by the Jitterbug Vipers. The Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library will host a special program, Women Civil War Spies, on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 P.M. in the Stribling Room. Buddy and Aileen Roberts from Cherokee, Texas, will present the program. They will wear period clothing and play music from the period as well.
