AREA One Act Play Details - Mason High School’s “The Death and Life of Larry Benson” will perform at HENDRICKSON HIGH SCHOOL (19201 Colorado Sand Dr., PFLUGERVILLE 78660) on Friday, April 17. Plays begin promptly at 3 pm with Mason to being the first to perform. Other schools performing are: Milano, Thorndale, Anderson-Shiro, Brackett, Center Point

Historically, the Habitat for Humanity Annual Spring Benefit is one of the most popular soirees in the Mason Calendar each year. And the 2015 Event should prove to be no exception. Scheduled for Saturday, May 16th, from 6-9pm, Mr. Homer Martin will host this year’s Wine Tasting fundraiser at his Ranch located on the Llano River in Mason.

Mason’s own Scott Haupert will join The Artisan String Quartet to perform Mozart’s String Quintet in C major, K.515. The Artisan String Quartet will bring Mozart and Brahms to the Odeon theater Saturday May 2 at 7:00PM. Four world class professionals make up the Artisan Quartet: Richard Kilmer and Paula E.

The Mason County Cancer Benefit's annual fundraising event will be held on Saturday, April 25th at Heritage Park, starting at 11:00 a.m. The memory bag ceremony will be held at dusk. Memory bags in honor of those battling cancer, cancer survivors, or those who have lost their battle are currently available.

St. Joseph parishioners are preparing for their 10th Annual Springfest Fundraiser which serves the public an overflowing plate of delicious BBQ Chicken with all the trimmings. Sunday, April 26th, is the date and serving begins at 11 AM in St. Joseph’s Hall located on the church grounds. The price per plate remains at $10.

The Crosby Cemetery Association 2015 annual meeting will be held on Thursday April 16th at the St Joseph Catholic Church hall. Meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. All who have friends or family at Crosby Cemetery are members and are encouraged to attend. Board members will meet that same date.

MKM’s Team, The Resuscitators, will have a Washer Pitching Contest to raise money for the Mason County Cancer Benefit. It will be held April 11th, 11:00 a.m. at the Mason Park Slab. Sign-up will be at 10:30. $40 a team, 1st place winners will receive a set of washer boards.

The Mason Garden Club will be holding their fourth annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, April 11, 2015 starting at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. This sale is in conjunction with the Friends of the Library Bake and Book Sale. The club will be set up in front of the library by the Old Yeller statue.

The Llano Country Opry will host two special shows on Saturday, April 11, at the Lantex Theater in downtown Llano. Country Music Hall of Famer and longtime Grand Ole Opry Star Bill Anderson will headline. The shows will be at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM and admission is $20.00 per person.
