Kody Criswell competed in barrels at the Texas High School State Rodeo finals in Abilene, TX this last week. She ended up 13th overall out of 100 qualifiers in Texas for her rookie year.

The Hill Country Texas Sheep & Goat Raisers Auxiliary announced the Scholarship Recipients, all with agriculture related majors, at the June 2 meeting in Cave Creek. $19,000.00, the money raised at the October Wool and Mohair Luncheon Fashion Show at the YO, Kerrville, has been divided among six college students and ten high school graduates.

First United Methodist Church recently had a river baptism followed on Sunday by Confirmation. Mickey Nail, Aaron Reardon, Madelyn Heath, and Megan Canfield were baptized, while Whitt Bierschwale, Klay Klaerner, and Zane Shoemaker reconfirmed their baptisms. Reardon, Heath, and Canfield all joined the church during the Sunday service.

Mr. & Mrs. Jarrod and Marcy (Lehmberg) Young are excited to announce the birth of their son, Miles Allen Young. He was born Monday, March 31st, at 9:01 a.m. in Houston. Miles weighed six pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is welcomed by big sister Emersyn, proud grandparents Mark & Judy Lehmberg of Mason and Montie & Cynthia Young of Mont Belvieu, as well as great-grandparents Roy Lehmberg of Mason and Augusta Spangler of Baytown.
