Conlee and Diane Davis are happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Aspen Kate Davis. Aspen was born on January 21, 2015, at San Angelo Community Medical Center. She weighed seven pounds, two and a half ounces and was 20.25 inches long. Proud grandparents are Sammy & Paula Crouch of Mason, Frank & Lisa Davis of San Angelo, and Sean & Mickie Rybacki of Liberty Hill.

Jessica Zesch and Glen Lam were married November 15, 2014, at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum in Austin, TX. Rev. Katie Cashwell, a Presbyterian minister and close friend of the couple, officiated. The bride, 32, works in business development at a global humanitarian non-profit. Jessica graduated from Davidson College and received a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Texas.

What do you mean? I thought they were a non-profit. They act like a non-profit – and we do! Every dollar brought in from our fundraising events such as our 5K-10K Run or Walk, hamburger lunches on the Mason Square, and Pancake Supper is passed on to other local charities or Mason High School seniors in the form of scholarships.

(MASON, Texas) – This month, Capital Farm Credit (CFC) is returning a record $72 million in cash to its member customers in the form of patronage dividends. Of that $72 million, the Hill Country Credit Offices of Fredericksburg, Burnet, Goldthwaite, Mason and San Saba paid out $7.3 million to local members. “Since 2007, we have returned more than half a billion dollars to our member borrowers through our patronage program,” said Ben Novosad, CFC’s chief executive officer.

James Durst, son of Margaret and Jeff Durst & Luis Castillo, son of Gigi & Eli Castillo comprised one team. 452nd Judicial District Judge Rob Hofmann recently received acknowledgement from the Texas Supreme Court for his work as chair of the Texas Children’s Commission Texas Blueprint Implementation Task Force. Robert Powell of Punta Gorda, FL, and Clarke Tatje of Eustix, FL, are engaged and will be married at the Mission Inn Resort and Country Club in Howey in the Hills, FL, on May 16th. Tatje and Powell are both graduates of Stetson University, majoring in science. They played division I college athletics for four years: Powell in baseball and Tatje in tennis.

COLLEGE STATION, Feb. 16, 2015 - Texas A&M University has named its honor students for the fall semester, recognizing them for outstanding academic performance. The Dean’s Honor Roll recognizes students taking at least 15 semester hours during the fall semester who have maintained a 3.75 or higher grade point (GPR) out of a possible 4.0.
