Larry W. Scevers, age 72 of Lampasas, TX passed away October 22, 2014, at his home. Larry was born August 27, 1942 in Brady, TX, the son of Albert Washington Keith and Bessie Lorene Scevers. Larry was a teacher and a counselor for the LISD for many years. He had lived in Lampasas for the past 37 years. Robert Kirk Owens, a devoted husband and father, cherished son and caring older brother, went to be with his Heavenly Father on October 13, 2014. Kirk passed away suddenly in a car accident. He was 43. While his family and friends miss him terribly, they are buoyed by their faith, the promise of Kirk’s eternal peace, and memories of his kind, witty and magnetic personality, which drew people to him and instantly left those around Kirk feeling loved, supported, and always smiling.

Curtis Kuhlmann, of Mason, passed away on Friday, September 5, at the age of 85. He was born in Fredericksburg on December 4, 1928 to Harry and Wanda Burrer Kuhlmann. After graduating from high school in Fredericksburg, Curtis served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1949. After leaving the Navy, Curtis married Annabel Loth and had three children.

Thomas “Jerry” Haines was born December 2, 1938, in Glasscock County, Texas, to Joe and Margret Turner Haines. At age two, they returned to Kimble County and he grew up on the home place on Little Saline Creek at London, Texas. He had a great love for sports, especially baseball.
