Consuelo Mendoza Martinez, of Mason, passed away on Thursday, April 16, at the age of 75. She was born in Acuna, Mexico on July 27, 1939, to Ramon Mendoza and Manuela Gonzales. Consuelo came to the United States when she was 15. In 1960 she married Casimiro Martinez in Memphis Texas in a Civil Ceremony.

Hazel Viola Chisamore Keith of Amarillo, Texas, went to meet her Lord on April 7, 2015, at an Amarillo hospice. Formerly of Hobbs, New Mexico, Viola was born September 17, 1924, in Mason, Texas, to George Daniel and Nancy Everet Chisamore. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; and by here husband William Eddie Keith.

Brad Samuel Barwise, 52, passed away April 1, 2015, in Port Aransas, Texas. He was born January 12, 1963 in Dallas, Texas to Walter and JoAnn Barwise. Franklin T. Brown of Hilda was promoted to glory on March 22, 2015, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 80. Frank was born to Bill Brown and Lolita Loeffler Brown on May 27, 1934, in Hilda, Texas. Frank married his loving spouse, Margaret Durham, on December 26, 1953. Frank served, as needed, in the US Naval Reserve as a flight engineer from 1951 through 1981, including time in Viet Nam, reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

Master bridge player, rancher, and independent thinker, Patricia Gail (Patty) Rogers Moss passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. The eldest of three children, she was born on August 13, 1938, to Martin John (Pat) and Helen Clemons Rogers at the family ranch in Mason County. In 1956, she graduated from Mason High School, where she was proud to be a twirler in the Puncher band.

Crescencia Castillo, of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, at the age of 71. Visitation was on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 and continued on Thursday, March 12 from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m. with a Rosary held at 7:00 in the Mason Funeral Chapel. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in the Crosby Cemetery. A.F. “Boog” Holloway passed away on Thursday, March 5, at the age of 84. “Boog” was born on September 27, 1930, near Pontotoc in Mason County to Noah Curtis Holloway and Verna Brady Holloway. Mason County would be his home all of his life. In 1948 he fell in love and married Joyce Koock and they were together for the next 67 years! “Boog” was co-owner of Mason Bottling Company and never completely retired.
