Ray Starks, formerly of Mason and Kerrville, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, at the age of 72. Mr. Starks is survived by two sisters Jeannine Ketchum and husband James of Burnet and Shirley Ross of Comfort. Ray had lived in Kerrville since the 1960s and for many years, Ray owned and operated Head Masters Beauty Salon in Kerrville. Ray was born and raised in Mason and was a graduate of Mason High School.

Cooper Ray Burnett, infant son of Robert and Lisa (Click) Burnett passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Consuelo Mendoza Martinez, of Mason, passed away on Thursday, April 16, at the age of 75. She was born in Acuna, Mexico on July 27, 1939, to Ramon Mendoza and Manuela Gonzales. Consuelo came to the United States when she was 15. In 1960 she married Casimiro Martinez in Memphis Texas in a Civil Ceremony.
