Paul Ray Cottle, age 92, of Mason, passed away Wednesday, October 09, 2013, in Brady, Texas. He was born July 12, 1921, in Rochelle to Orvil Lee Cottle and Cynthia Ann (Cox) Cottle. He married Nina Bell Ake on January 28, 1946, in Rochelle, Texas. He was a WW II Marine Veteran, participating in action against the enemy at Bougainville and Guam.

On October 1, 2013, Sally Coldiron went peacefully to the waiting arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ after her long, brave fight against cancer. Sally was born in 1921 to Bert & Ella Townsend on Blocker Mountain near McAlester, OK. The Townsend family farmed and raised Percheron draft horses. After her high school graduation, Sally stayed in McAlester until 1947, when she relocated to Houston, TX where her oldest sister, Margie, lived.

Darrel Davis passed away at the College Station Medical Center on the morning of October 1, 2013, at the age of 75. Darrel was born on November 27, 1937, in Llano County in the Texas Hill Country, to parents Alvin Ezra and Retta Chew Davis. He graduated from Llano High School in 1956, and served 4 years in the U.S.

Johnita Pearl Schuessler was born on March 4, 1916, in Austin. Her parents were Ida and John Schuessler. Johnita attended Castell school and graduated from Mason High School in 1933. She was a proud Mason Puncher. Johnita also attended Blinn College, Southwestern University, and graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1938, with a Bachelor of Arts in German.

Johnita Bohmfalk, of Mason, went to her heavenly reward on Sunday, September 29, at the age of 97. She is survived by her children Robert Bohmfalk, of Seguin and Joan Ullrich of Conroe and a brother John Harold Schuessler of Mason, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Johnita Bohmfalk will be held on Saturday, October 5, at 2:00 p.m.

Isaac A Beam, 93, of Barry, Texas, passed away at Twilight Nursing Home surrounded by loving friends and family on Saturday, September 28, 2013. He was born on July 23, 1920, in Mason County, Texas, to Isaac Melvin (Met) Beam and Emma (Chisamore) Beam. Ike was a World War Veteran, serving in the Navy (Seabees Construction Battalion) in the Philippines and New Guinea.

Patsy Brandenberger passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013, in the same Ranch Branch home where she was born 87 years ago to Leo and Lois Hofmann on February 9, 1926. She and her two sisters attended the Peters Prairie School and Mason High School. She received a degree and a teaching certificate from Texas State College for Women in Denton, and returned to Mason to marry Silas Brandenberger on June 24, 1946, after he returned from WWII.

Linda Wood-Gann, age 79 of Mason, Texas passed Saturday, September 21,2013, in San Antonio, Texas. Memorial service to be held Friday September 27 in Hondo at the First Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Linda was a beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three sons (Robert, James and Jerry Gann) and by five grandchildren.

Deloris Mae Wilson went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 3, 2013, in Fredericksburg, Texas, where she was staying. Deloris was recently a long-term resident of Cedar Creek, Texas. She settled in Austin, Texas in the fifties until the eighties to raise her family. She served her husband and country by moving to several locations in the US and one overseas deployment.
