Armand Eugene Nelms, died June 6, 2014, after several years of battling with Alzheimer's Disease. He was born February 2, 1928, in Brownwood, Texas, to Arthur and Ruth Nelms. He attended elementary school in Durant, Oklahoma, and finished his high school years in Dallas, Texas. Armand (Gene) enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1949.

Vyror Jean Willingham, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, May 20 2014, at Estrella Oaks Nursing Home in Georgetown, Texas. She was born in Llano, Texas on January 1, 1942. She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets for her family and friends. She enjoyed being on the Llano River and collecting rocks she found.

Arthur D. Kothmann was born on May 22, 1920, the only child of Floyd Kothmann and Veda Bell Eaker. He grew up in Mason County, living there all his life except for a couple of years when his parents lived in Brady. His only schooling was at the Capps country school where Arthur rode his horse to every day.

Albert Clark Templeton was born on November 5, 1930, in Austin, Texas to Hiram Templeton and Ila Mae Berryman Templeton. He passed away at his home in Mason on Thursday, May 29, at the age of 83. Clark was raised in the Lone Grove Community of Llano County. He was a graduate of Southwest Texas Teachers College.

Funeral services for Edward Castillo Avalos, Sr., age 55 of Rockdale were scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale. Burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Deacon Gus Coelho with St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated. Visitation was 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Eva Lane, of San Antonio, passed away on Sunday, June 1, at the age of 95. She was born on June 20, 1917, in Mason to Milford Nichols and Rosa Kidd Nichols. Eva was raised in Mason and then made San Antonio her home for most of her life. She worked for several companies in aircraft construction including Swearingen and Mooney Aircraft. Jesse Thomas Hurst Jr., age 73 of Lampasas, TX died Sunday May 4, 2014 at Rollins-Brook Community Hospital. He was born November 11, 1940, in San Diego, CA, the son of Jesse Thomas Hurst Sr. and Eria Maud (Massy) Hurst. Jesse served in the U.S. Navy as well as the Navy Reserve for 30 years before retiring.

By the Grace of God on September 30, 1988, our baby boy arrived. The doctor held him up, counted his toes and fingers and declared “Looks like a keeper to me.” We named him Ross Clayton Lehmberg.
