James Taylor Virdell, Sr. was born in Rochelle, Texas, January, 22, 1924, the first child of James Clarence Virdell and Annie Myrtle Taylor Virdell. In 1936, he moved with his family to Llano where he has lived since that time. After high school, he served 38 months in the Army Air Corp as an Aerial Engineer on B-25 bombers.

Kenneth Paul Mueller, age 70, of Brady, Texas, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014, in San Angelo, Texas. He was born November 19, 1944 in Fredericksburg, Texas, to Arno Mueller Sr. and Bertha (Stanke) Mueller. He was a Lineman for Sharyland Utilities for over 39 years. He has lived in Brady since 1975, moving there from Mason. Funeral services for Kenneth Paul Mueller were held at 2:00 p.m.

Crystal Dian Haley of Mason passed away on November 22, 2014, at the age of 32. Crystal was born November 7, 1982 in Fredricksburg, Texas, to Thomas and Jana (Nagy) Haley. She grew up in Mason, attending Mason schools and graduated in 2001 from Mason High School. Crystal was one of the first females to play football in Mason, playing for the Punchers two years in Junior High.

Merrilee Casner Miller of Llano passed away on November 29, 2014, at the age of 88. She was born on August 27, 1926, in Antioch, California, the only child of Foster & Doris Mathis Casner. At the age of 1, the family returned to the Bluffton area on the banks of the Colorado River.

Robert Kirk Owens, a devoted husband and father, cherished son and caring older brother, went to be with his Heavenly Father on October 13, 2014. Kirk passed away suddenly in a car accident. Terry McMillan of Edwards County passed away after a long battle with cancer Tuesday, October 14, 2014. He was born Sept. 6, 1944 to L.H. “Hoppy” and Roberta Owen McMillan. Terry was an avid rancher, carrying the legacy of his father and grandfather, he was one of the finest horsemen and cattlemen around.
