W.E. Probst, age 92, of McKinney, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in McKinney, Texas. He was born September 5, 1921, to Ernest August and Bernice (Kirkpatrick) Probst. W.E. married Charlotte Hurt on May 27, 1944, in Ballinger, Texas. He was a World War II veteran, serving for the Army Air Corps.

Coach Charlie Williams, beloved husband, father and coach, passed away Sunday February 23rd in Longview after a lengthy illness. He was born December 29, 1930, in Refugio, TX, and graduated from Refugio HS in 1948 where he was a four sport letterman. He played college football and was a pole vaulter at Hardin Simmons University.

Jim Underwood, rancher, teacher, friend, devoted husband, father and grandfather, died on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, near Lago Vista, Texas. He and his wife Cookie had temporarily moved to Lago Vista to be near their son while he battled ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. James Weldon Underwood was born at his family’s home in Grit, Mason County, Texas to John James Underwood and Irlene Elizabeth McWilliams Underwood on September 20th, 1938.

Frank A. Hernandez, of Mason, went to his eternal home Tuesday, February 4, 2014. He was 73 years young. Frank was born January 4, 1941, in Katemcy to Anselmo J. Hernandez and Bersabe A. Ramos. Ella was a devoted, dedicated and loving wife and mother who enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband.

Monique Noella Proulx, age 85, of Fredonia, Texas, and formerly of Brownsburg, Quebec, Canada, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013, in Brady, Texas. She was born May 15, 1928, in Brownsburg, Quebec, Canada, to Noel Proulx and Fleur (Rheume) Proulx. She had lived most of her life in the Brownsburg, Quebec area and for the last eight years she had called Fredonia home. She worked many years at the C-I-L Ammunition Plant in Brownsburg and for a short time she was a beautician.

She attended Crocier Tech High School in Dallas. Cora was a life-long Christian. She met Billy Franklin at a church picnic and on October 29, 1948, they were married in Dallas.
