Jerry Bennett, of Mason, passed away on Monday, December 24, at the age of 86. Mr. Bennett is survived by his daughter Bonnie Bennett, of Junction, a son Jerry Glenn Bennett and wife Judy of Azalea, Oregon, two brothers, David Bennett of El Paso and Max Bennett and wife Anne of El Paso, two sisters Mary Ellen Bobb of Big Lake, TX and Evelyn Carr and husband Frank of Franklinton, Louisiana and a grandson Kenneth “K.C.” Kinle of Tucson, Arizona.

Odessa Eckert Kimbriel of Mason passed away on December 29, 2012, at the age of 84. Odessa was born on September 1, 1928, to Dan and Lillie Eckert at their home in the Hilda Community. She attended school at Hilda and graduated from Mason High School in 1945. She attended North Texas Women’s College in Denton and then returned home to marry her high school sweetheart, Raymond Kimbriel.

Jerry Bennett of Mason passed away on Monday, December 24, at the age of 86. Mr. Bennett is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Bennett, of Junction; a son, Glenn Bennett, of Azalea, Oregon; two brothers, two sisters and a grandson. Funeral services for Jerry Bennett were held graveside at Gooch Cemetery in Mason on Friday, December 28 at 2:00 p.m.

Sara Diane Kothmann was born April 16, 1970, in San Antonio, TX. At two weeks of age, she was adopted through the Methodist Mission Home in San Antonio and joined her new family living in Seymour, TX. The family moved to College Station, TX in June, 1970, where Sara continued to live for the remainder of her life.

Anna Katherine “Kathy” Bishop was born November 15, 1925, in San Antonio, Texas. She died December 11, 2012, in San Marcos, Texas. Kathy, her grandmother Anna Laura Schuessler Ritter and her mother Ruby Ritter Bynum Hutschenreuter were descendants of Mason County pioneer families, the Ritter, Storch (Starks), Cating and Schuessler families.

Margaret Catherine (Humpal) Molzan passed away gently in her sleep on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the age of 93. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 23, 1919, and like so many others, experienced the difficulties of those times. Her father died before her birth in the Spanish influenza epidemic, and she grew up with her working mother, grandmother, and five uncles.

Faye attended school in Brady and Mason, and graduated from Mason High School. She met the love of her life, Wibby Shearer, in 1943.

Kenley John Schulze, 75, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Saturday, October 27, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Chester Dan (Chester) Lange, 85, of Tyler, TX passed away Tuesday October 23, 2012 in Tyler. Graveside service was held at 1:00 PM Monday October 29, 2012, at the Tyler memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery in Tyler. Chester was born May 17, 1927, to HC and Dixie Lange. Chester lived in Tyler for over 60 years but has many relatives in the Mason area where the Lange Family Reunion is held.
