For our first game of the season the girls played well. For not having a lot of practice they exceeded my expectations. We have worked hard all week on fixing the little mistakes we made during the game and we will have a strong showing in the Sonora tournament this Thursday and Saturday.

This weekend the Cowgirls competed in the Junction Softball Tournament. We played with a lot of intensity against some tough teams. Overall the girls are getting better and working together as a team. We need to work on eliminating fielding errors, which will get better with practice and confidence. There were some great plays made this weekend and also some great hits by the Cowgirls.

If you didn’t get to go to the boys’ playoff game or listen to it on the radio (which by the way everyone said that Justin made it sound as if they were there) you should know that the players did an excellent job of representing Mason. The Punchers jumped out to an early lead shooting the ball extremely well and playing some great defense.

The 2014 golf season started out on slippery slopes. The first two dates were canceled due to icy weather conditions and the schools to the North/Northwest had to drop out. This made for a very small field. Joining us this year were Brackett and Christoval. Christoval captured first place for both boys and girls tournaments.

Mason Youth Baseball has made the change to Mason Youth Baseball Little League® for the 2014 season! There are lots of new changes on the horizon for us! Mason hasn’t been involved in the Little League® Organization since 2002. The move to Little League® was made for many reasons, but, as with all decisions our board makes, the ultimate deciding factor was for our children.
